First Light

I opened eyes beneath the sky
With colors born from morning sighs
A whisper drifted through my chest
The world began—no fear, no rest

My hands were small, but reached the stars
Each ray a thread that healed my scars
The breeze was new, the earth was wide
I stepped into the other side

First breath, first word, first gentle light
It held me close, dissolved the night

First light, don't leave, just stay awhile
You're the memory I never knew
You touched my soul with silent smile
And wrapped the sky in newborn blue

I saw the sun through trembling trees
And felt the world come into me
The scent of rain, the glow of dew
It felt like home, it felt like truth

First breath, first word, first gentle light
You taught me how to walk through night
